William Peña Wells
A practicing attorney with an interest in trademark, copyright, and intellectual property, William has been painting and drawing from a very early age.
"My grandfather was an artist in Spain," William observes, " and when he came to this country one step ahead of Franco's fascists, he made a living painting murals in restaurants and bars in Brooklyn and lower Manhattan while he learned English. My mother was creative and I like to think that I carry on the family's passion for the arts."
William's gallery and studio space are in Brick Street, one of Saint Petersburg, Florida's new galleries in the Arts District. "I wanted to be located in an area that has access to artists who work in ceramic, glass, mural art, and other emerging media."
